What’s the best way to meet new people while travelling?
Motivational quotes tell us that life’s a rewarding journey, not a destination. Their authors clearly haven’t experienced the sights, sounds and smells of a jam-packed London Underground carriage during rush hour. Armpits and all.
However, if meeting new people on your travels is your thing , I can think of no better place to start. Think of it as an advanced training ground for human connection. Strike up a conversation with a complete stranger on the Tube and you’ll be ready to make friends anywhere.
Just don’t expect anyone to thank you for it.
